Once the mediator has been contacted, the mediator checks whether the request falls within the admissibility criteria for consumer mediation, then decides whether the case is admissible or inadmissible.

In the event of inadmissibility, the mediator informs the customer of the rejection of the request within three weeks of receiving the complete file. The decision is duly reasoned and may not be appealed.

In the event of admissibility, the mediator issues an opinion within a maximum period of three months.

This opinion is not binding on either Altitude Sports or the customer, who retains the right to refer the matter to the competent court.
